This month marks anniversary milestones for several Comox Valley longstanding clubs, businesses, and organizations.
The Comox Valley Writers Society hosted their 60th anniversary celebrations at Anderton Gardens on June 8th, complete with music, readings of poetry, children’s stories, fiction, and memoir in areas of the gardens.
The non-profit Soroptimist Courtenay organization is celebrating 80 years of providing women and girls access to the education and training needed to achieve economic empowerment.
This year’s Denman Island Readers and Writers Festival, from July 19th – 21st, will mark its 20th anniversary supporting authors and book lovers far and wide. Show up to support these local groups that have enriched our Valley’s spirit, and make yourself a part of our history.
