Bus Griffiths
As Bus, an ex-logger and self-taught artist, himself says; “This series of paintings is dedicated to the color and romance of old-time logging and to the men of that era. They are a hard breed who took pride in their work and skills, and who were artists in their own right.”
His suite of 8 paintings show with amazing detail and artistic skill the various stages of logging operations common during the late 40’s and early 50’s. This work, taken from the permanent collection of the Courtenay Museum, is now fully restored.
