It’s been 40 years this month since the great Comox bank robbery of May long weekend 1983.
Once the dust had settled and the valuables from the safety deposit boxes were taken into account, the theft tallied up to about $370,000 (that’s $1,001,062 in today’s money). Quite a haul!
