It's All There in Black and White: Black & White Food Stores

The full page announcement is advertising four local shops that were all under the Red & White Store banner. The Red & White Stores were independently owned in the days before the big supermarket chains.

The four stores listed were:

1. Booths - was on 5th street in Courtenay
2. Squareway - was on Cumberland Road near Courtenay Auto Parts where there is now a second hand store
3. Bay Store - was next to the Post office in Comox
4. Fraser and Horne - was in Union Bay on the Old Island Highway.
